Sunday, dec. 23

  • 11:26 a.m. -- Lake & Greenbank avenues. Officers were dispatched after a witness reported that a man was possibly siphoning gas from a vehicle parked in the neighborhood.

    Monday, dec. 24

  • 2:33 a.m. -- Bayo Vista & Fairmont avenues (Oakland). Piedmont police provided assistance to Oakland officers.

  • 5:03 p.m. -- St. James Drive. A woman told police that a man wearing a stocking cap and carrying a bag was looking into the windows of her garage.

  • 8:29 p.m. -- Grand Avenue. A motorist was injured after striking a parked vehicle, police said.

    Tuesday, dec. 25

  • 1:45 p.m. -- Grand & Lower Grand avenues. A noninjury traffic accident was reported.

  • 7:36 p.m. -- Palm Drive. A man who a witness reported looking into vehicles with a flashlight was looking for his dog, police said.

    Wednesday, dec. 26

  • 4:57 p.m. -- Dudley Avenue. A hit-and-run traffic accident was reported.

  • 9:51 p.m. -- Highland & Oakland avenues. A caller told police that a man traveling in a black Mercedes egged his vehicle.

    Thursday, dec. 27

  • 7:35 a.m. -- Greenbank Avenue. The theft of a dark green 1995 Acura Legend was reported.

  • 2:02 p.m. -- El Cerrito Avenue. A resident contacted police, wishing to turn in a firearm for destruction.

  • 2:24 p.m. -- Sandringham Road. A burglary was reported.

    Friday, dec. 28

  • 10:04 a.m. -- Blair Avenue. A resident reported that someone was opening credit cards in his name.

    Oakland

    The blotter showing recent crimes in the Oakland hills and nearby neighborhoods was not available this week from the Oakland Police Department.
