CAMPBELL -- Two 16-year-old boys are facing burglary charges after they were caught leaving a home Tuesday afternoon, stolen goods still in hand, by police responding to an eagle-eyed neighbor's call.
According to Campbell police Capt. Dave Carmichael, the neighbor saw an unfamiliar boy go into the home's backyard, then open the front door to let another boy in shortly before 4 p.m. Tuesday.
"We set up a perimeter around the house and caught them when they came out and tried to flee," Carmichael said.
He said they were carrying electronic equipment that had been taken from the home on the 800 block of N. Harrison Avenue.
Carmichael, who praised the neighbor for being alert and notifying police to suspicious activity, said investigators are looking into whether the juveniles may be responsible for other burglaries in the area.
