OAKLAND - One person is clinging to life after being ejected from a car in a two-car collision this morning in Oakland, a police officer said.

Officers responded to a report of a collision in the area of Coolidge Avenue and Montana Street at about 2 a.m., Officer Kevin McDonald said.

One person was ejected from a car in the wreck, McDonald said.

The person, whose age and gender was not yet released, was transported to a hospital, but is not expected to survive, McDonald said.

Three other people occupying the two cars were uninjured in the collision, he said.

McDonald said both cars were driving the speed limit and impairment was not a factor.

The collision is under investigation.
