SAN RAMON -- About 4,000 San Ramon residents will remain without power until about 8:30 p.m., according to PG&E.

The outage, which was reported at 5:48 p.m., impacted 3,896 PG&E customers in the area of San Ramon Valley Blvd. from Pine Valley Road to Norris Canyon Road, as well as in the area of Bollinger Canyon Road from Crow Canyon Road to the area south of Norris Canyon, according to a PG&E spokesperson.

Officers driving on Bollinger Canyon Road noted that all traffic lights were out and that businesses along the road were dark, police said. No accidents have been reported in relation to the inoperational traffic lights.

An earlier outage affected about 5,00 customers in Concord, PG&E reported, but power has since been restored.
