Misdemeanor charges were dropped Monday against a man tied to a bizarre rampage that ended with a Vallejo police officer killing a naked man in October.
Jeremiah Moore, 29, was killed and his partner, 28-year-old Jason Jessie, was arrested on Oct. 21, after neighbors reported seeing the pair running around naked, breaking windows and trying to burn down their home on the 2500 block of Alameda Street.
An officer killed Moore after authorities say he placed a loaded rifle against another officer's stomach.
During a search, police found three pet birds that had been beheaded in the backyard.
Both men were suspected of being under the influence of drugs.
Jessie was arrested on suspicion of battery on a police officer and obstructing an officer, both misdemeanors.
The Solano County District Attorney's Office has not yet received the Vallejo Police Department's investigation of the officer-involved fatality for its review.
The misdemeanor charges against Jessie will not be re-filed, District Attorney Don du Bain said Monday.
