PINOLE -- Three men who robbed a liquor store Tuesday evening remain on the loose, and Pinole police are asking for the public's help to find them.
Police said the trio, all believed to be in their 20s, entered the Jay Vee Liquor Store, at 2701 Pinole Valley Road, around 6:55 p.m., and that one of them pointed a short-barrelled, chrome-plated revolver at the clerk. He demanded cash from the register, then ordered the clerk to get on the ground and give up some of his personal property, Pinole police Sgt. Matt Avery said.
The other two grabbed bottles of alcohol during the robbery, Avery said.
The clerk did not fight the demands and emerged unscathed physically, Avery said. Nobody else was in the store when the robbery occurred, he said.
Police believe two of the suspects are of Filipino descent, including the one who pointed the gun, Avery said. One of them was estimated to be between 20 and 21 years old, 5 feet, 6 inches tall and 130-140 pounds, while the other was estimated to be between 20 and 22 years old, 5 feet, 7 inches tall and 140-150 pounds, Avery said. The suspect with the gun was wearing a light blue hoodie over his head, while the other Filipino suspect had a gray hoodie and light-colored pants.
The third suspect was of an unknown race, in his 20s and 5 feet, 6 inches with a tall, thin build, Avery said. He also was wearing a gray hoodie over a white T-shirt and bluejeans, Avery said.
