SAN JOSE -- Police are investigating the death of a man who was found unresponsive on Tuesday evening near East Capitol Expressway and Interstate 680.
Police are not releasing any information about how the man died, but are classifying it as a homicide. The man's name is being withheld until the Santa Clara County Coroner's Office notifies his family.
At 6:08 p.m. officers responded to a disturbance in the 2100 block of East San Antonio Street and found the man, who was taken to a hospital. The man was declared deceased at 7:01 p.m.
The cause and circumstances of the man's death are under investigation.
No suspects have been identified or apprehended.
It is the city's 41st homicide of the year. That total includes a homicide investigated by San Jose State University police not counted by San Jose police.
