SAN JOSE -- A man found stabbed to death on a secluded road in South San Jose last week has been identified, but there is no more clarity regarding what led to his death, authorities said.
Jose Gamez, 36, described as a transient living in San Jose, was found by a motorist around 1:20 a.m. Thursday in the 500 block of Piercy Road. Responding officers found Gamez lying on the sidewalk and partly on an unlit roadway, according to San Jose police.
