A police investigation is underway into the killing of a man Monday night in San Francisco's Mission District, a police spokesman said.
At about 9:50 p.m., San Francisco police responded to a report of an unresponsive man in the 2900 block of 16th Street, between Guerrero and Valencia streets, San Francisco police spokesman Albie Esparza said.
Arriving paramedics pronounced the man deceased at the scene, Esparza said.
It was later reported that the cause of death was stabbing. The victim was identified as Peter Myles, a 57-year-old homeless man.
