The shooting was reported at 9:58 a.m. at 25th and Connecticut streets, San Francisco police spokesman Officer Albie Esparza said.

A man, believed to be in his 30s, was found with gunshot wounds to his upper body, Esparza said. He was taken to San Francisco General Hospital, where he was pronounced dead, Esparza said.

He was later identified as Edric Carr, 24.
