DANVILLE -- The Town of Danville is offering a cheap introduction to live entertainment for preschoolers and their parents. For $3 a ticket, the town is offering a monthly show in the Village Theatre at 420 Front St.
The performances in the series begin Oct. 5; the last will be Aug. 2.

The lineup begins with ventriloquist Steve Chaney at 10 a.m. Oct. 5. Chaney and his puppet partner Cornelius Crow perform hundreds of shows around the country each year.
Magician Timothy James will appear at 10 a.m. Nov. 9 with a show full of funny routines and magic.
The popular Bay Area band Octopretzel will appear at 10 a.m. Dec. 7. Their show includes original sounds and traditional favorites.
The Keith Show will be at 10 a.m. Jan. 18 and features comedy, aerobatics, juggling and daredevil tricks.
Adventure Theater with Kenn Adams is booked for 10 a.m. Feb. 15. In this show, the audience makes the sound effects, creates the story and even comes on stage to play the parts.
There will be comedy and juggling March 15 at a 10 a.m. show with the Earthcapades. Lissin and Hearty present performances that combine juggling, circus skills, storytelling and comedy to teach environmental science and respect for Earth.

Dan Chan the Magic Man is on tap for 10 a.m. May 10. His act is described as an "intense three-ring circus rolled into one man."
The Bubble Lady will appear June 15 for two shows, at 10 a.m. and at 1 p.m. The interactive show is nonstop bubble fun as she creates bubble brains, haircuts, a dragon and people inside bubbles.
British Puppeteer Robin Stevens and his famous "Gnome Show" will perform at 10 a.m. July 12. He has worked as a puppeteer for the BBC and has appeared in more than 800 TV shows in Great Britain.
The final show will be at 10 a.m. Aug. 2 with a wacky show put on by comedy illusionist Brian Scott.
