Three deer stranded on a frozen Minnesota lake found their way home with the help of a hovercraft.
ABC 6 News in Minnesota posted a photo of one of the stranded deer on Facebook Sunday. After the photo received dozen of comments, James Kenison and his father Doug Kenison decided they had to help.
The pair own MedCity Hovercraft, a hovercraft tour and training company, and took two of their vehicles to the partially frozen Albert Lea Lake. There, they found three deer more than a quarter mile from shore. The deer weren't stuck in the ice, but the surface was so slippery, the animals couldn't get good enough footling to stand and walk off the lake.
The father-son team tied rope around the stranded deer and pulled them to land, shooting video all the way and uploading it to their business' YouTube account. They also created a holiday-themed version.
