The nifty footwork of quarterback Antwuin Prowes and the steady leg of kicker Loren Fonseca was the ultimate difference as the host Hercules High football team walked off the field with a 34-33 victory over Kennedy, second straight Tri-County Athletic League-Stone Division title and another shot at the postseason.

Hercules (9-1, 5-0) ran the table on the Rock Division but it took a 54-yard scramble by Prowes in the game's waning moments to hold off a game and competitive Kennedy (4-6, 4-1) team. The Titans will now advance to the North Coast Section Division III playoffs.

Kennedy fullback Ernie Timoteo, who led all ball carriers with 163 yards on 34 carries, scored five touchdowns, and his 4-yard bolt with 5:03 left in the contest gave the Eagles their one and only lead of the game at 33-27.

He added another 2-yard touchdown run earlier in the fourth quarter and a two-point conversion on the touchdown play as Kennedy tied the game at 27-all with 7:11 left on the clock. Timoteo scored on runs of 6, 3 and 1 for his other scores.

Hercules led 14-13 at the intermission. An electrifying 81-yard kickoff return by senior Jalen Doss gave the Titans a 21-13 edge.

Prowes was the top offensive threat for Hercules, ending the game with 152 yards on 14 carries and three touchdowns, including the game winner.

Kennedy quarterback Roman Espinosa completed eight of 15 passes for 153 yards.

Albany 52, John Swett 0: Running back Jack Johnson celebrated his final home game with a three touchdown performance in the host Cougars' win over John Swett (3-7, 1-4 TCAL-Stone). Albany (3-7, 3-2) jumped out to a 8-0 lead four plays into the game when Rio Root took a pass from fellow senior quarterback Nicholas Sternad and scored from 45 yards out.
