Since "America's Got Talent" launched its seventh season, fans have had to put up with pudgy pole-dancers, raunchy old-lady rappers, and a guy who spits up coackroaches -- not to mention the humongous ego of Howard Stern.

But now the pretenders are gone and its time to get down to business as the viewers weigh in with their votes. The reality show's Top 48 phase gets under way Monday after a red-carpet special (8:30 p.m., NBC). It's nice to know that only the classy acts remain and we don't have to watch a man named "Horse" have his man parts get battered anymore. ... Oh, wait, he's still in the running.
