The following calls were among those handled by the Brentwood police Oct. 22-27, according to information provided by the Police Department.
Oct. 22
Warrant: At 1:37 a.m. someone contacted on Balfour Road was arrested when found to have an outstanding warrant. Theft: At 6:29 a.m. it was reported someone forced entry into a company work trailer on Elkins Way stealing numerous tools. Drugs: At 11:50 a.m. someone stopped for a vehicle code violation on San Jose Avenue and St. Regis Drive was arrested for suspicion of possessing a large amount of narcotics.Oct. 23
Burglary: At 11:05 a.m. it was reported a vehicle on Ashford Place was burglarized resulting in the loss of a Bluetooth headset, a Maglite flashlight and vehicle registration paperwork. Assault: At 11:43 a.m. two juveniles were arrested at a school on American Avenue for engaging in a physical altercation. Suspicious circumstances: At 3 p.m. officers responded along with East Contra Costa Fire District to a suspicious fire set at a vacant residence that had been previously burned. Oct. 24
Drugs: At 8:30 a.m. someone stopped for a vehicle code violation on Balfour Road and Rosano Street was arrested when found in possession of suspected drugs and for suspicion of being under the influence of drugs. Drugs: At 12:51 p.m. a juvenile at a school on Ghiggeri Drive was arrested for suspected marijuana possession. Warrant: At 6:13 p.m. someone stopped for a vehicle code violation on Balfour Road and McViking Way was arrested when found to have an outstanding no-bail warrant. Oct. 25
License violation: At 12:47 p.m. a female was arrested on Second Street and Brentwood Boulevard for driving with a suspended license due to a prior DUI conviction. Fraud: At 4:58 p.m. a business on Balfour Road reported someone passed a $10 counterfeit bill sometime during the day. Assault: At 7:30 p.m. officers responded to Altessa Drive for a report of two individuals engaged in a physical altercation.Oct. 26
Burglary: At 5:53 a.m. a resident on Minnesota Avenue reported tools were taken from a locked vehicle. Burglary: At 3:05 p.m. a resident on Shady Willow Lane reported bicycles were stolen from an unlocked storage area. Theft: At 10:52 p.m. someone was arrested for trying to leave a business on Lone Tree Way without paying for several items. Oct. 27
DUI: At 12:54 a.m. someone stopped for a traffic violation on Oak Street was arrested for suspicion of driving while intoxicated and possession of brass knuckles. Burglary: At 10:06 a.m. it was reported a residence on Piccadilly Lane was burglarized and ransacked. Access was made by breaking a window. Shoplifting: At 11:47 a.m. someone was arrested at a business on Lone Tree Way for stealing merchandise valued at approximately $160. -- Nan Hargis
