High school is definitely not easy. Most teenagers dread the work, the responsibilities, and just going to school in general. There's no way to just breeze through it because high school is four years long.
Here at Freedom High School, various students and faculty members try their hardest to make high school an enjoyable experience, not an experience to dread every day. The best advice to make high school memorable is to simply get involved. Freedom offers many different ways to get involved from clubs to sports and especially schoolwide events.
Winter sports started in November. If a student is not playing, he still can attend the wrestling matches, soccer and basketball games. There are also 47 clubs on campus that vary from Power of Unity to Math Club to Ping-Pong Club. Each club hosts its own events and all the clubs come together for schoolwide events, such as the food fair where clubs sell different foods at lunch and club festivals like Freedom's Falcon Festival where clubs host booths for the community.
Beyond any individual clubs or sports, a Freedom student can also get involved in schoolwide rallies, lunch rallies, spirit weeks, community events such as blood drives and dances. As a matter of fact, Freedom is hosting a nonformal dance on Friday for students to let loose right before finals. Freedom's goal is to make a student's high school experience memorable.
