Antioch

Introduction to JobScout: Looking for a job and a new job resource? Come learn about JobScout the online learning platform that will help you learn skills to land a job. 6:30 p.m. Feb. 4.

Oliver Chin - Comic Book Creation Workshop: Author and artist Oliver Chin shows aspiring artists how to create comic books/graphic novels. Participants will learn to write and draw their own stories, and get free comics! For children 5 and older. 3 p.m. Feb. 6.

Teen Valentine's Bash: Enjoy the festivities and celebrate Valentine's Day. Make a traditional doily card and enjoy special sweets with or without your sweetheart. 3:30 p.m. Feb. 14.

Infant/Toddler Storytime: Short board and picture book stores for infants, toddlers and preschoolers with parent or caregiver and child interaction. 10:30-10:50 a.m. Thursdays.

Preschool Storytime: Stories for the whole family. We will read books, sing songs, learn rhymes, dance, play, and more. 4 p.m. Thursdays.

n Stay and Play: After story time kids will play, put puzzles together, make crafts and just have fun. 4:30 p.m. Thursdays.

Free Play Friday: All of your most popular board games and card games are available for you to enjoy. Connect 4, Monopoly, Chess, Checkers, Uno, more. You name it, we might have it. 2:30-5:30 p.m. Fridays.

Homework Help: Homework help is available for children grades K-12. 3-6:30 p.m. Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays.

Brentwood

Introduction to OverDrive/eBooks and e-Readers at the Library: Learn about using popular e-readers (Nook, Kindle, iPad, etc.) to access the library's digital collection. 10-11 a.m. Jan. 28. Registration required at ccclib.org.

Have Some Heart! Volunteer at the Valentine's Day Party: Youths 12 and older can sign up to help at the children's Valentine's Day party at the Brentwood Community Center, 35 Oak St. Volunteers are need 3:30-5:30 p.m. Feb. 13. Help with decorating, games, crafts and more. Registration required at ccclib.org.

"Chill Out With a Book" Winter Reading Program: A self-paced reading program for school-age kids and teens. Read and review three books and turn in your reading log to earn prizes, including a free book and Mountain Mike's pizza.

Pajama Storytime: A story time for children 5 and younger. Fuzzy slippers are encouraged. 7 p.m. Mondays.

Lapsit Baby Storytime: A story time for infants. 10:30 a.m. Thursdays.

Toddler Time: Stories and finger plays for toddlers. 11:30 a.m. Tuesdays and Thursdays.

Stitchin' Saturdays: Come crochet and/or knit with our "stitchers" or learn how to stitch from knowledgeable volunteers. 10 a.m.-noon Feb. 9.

Valentine's Craft Night Event: All welcome for an evening of Valentine's Day crafts and treats hosted by the Oakley Library Youth Squad. 6:30 p.m. Feb. 12.

Computer Tutor: Sign up for a 30-minute, one-on-one session with a tutor and brush up on basic computer skills including setting up an email account, searching the Internet, using Microsoft Office. Best suited for adults. Call for an appointment. 10 a.m.-noon Feb. 12 and 19.

Adult Beading Program: Local beading experts will teach you how to create simple projects with beads. Great for gifts. 6-8p.m. Feb. 20. Registration required at ccclib.org.
