OAKLEY -- Oakley's city council will hold a special meeting Tuesday as part of a teambuilding exercise.
Billed as a "city staff team facilitation discussion," the event will be at 2:15 p.m. in the city's recreation building at 1250 O'Hara Ave., Oakley.
Mayor Kevin Romick said he and City Manager Bryan Montgomery decided to hold the meeting because, with a council that has two new members, it's a chance to make sure everyone starts off on the right foot.
Romick noted that Oakley's previous city councils used to do something similar each year.
Councilmembers and city employees in managerial roles will talk about how the two groups can communicate better with each other and work together more effectively, he said.
