BRENTWOOD -- The popular Science on Saturday program at the Brentwood Community Center will be back on April 20 from 9:30 to 11 a.m. Organized by the Lawrence Livermore National Lab, the program is aimed at middle and high school students, but it appeals to Brentwood residents, teachers and parents of all ages.

The featured scientists will discuss artificial retinas and how this cutting-edge technology provides eye sight to patients with various types of blindness. Six chemical, biomedical, electrical and mechanical engineers will be on hand.

The free event will be held at 35 Oak St. For more details, contact Richard Farnsworth, manager of the lab's Science Education Program, at farnsworth1@llnl.gov.
