The following calls were among those handled by the Brentwood police Feb. 18-22, according to information provided by the Police Department.
Feb. 18
Burglary: At 4:33 a.m. it was reported a residence was burglarized on Pebble Beach Drive resulting in the theft of a laptop and DVDs. Grand theft: At 2:25 p.m. it was reported a laptop, Nintendo DS and a DVD player were stolen from an unsecured vehicle on Spyglass Drive. Malicious vandalism: At 4:25 p.m. four juveniles were arrested on Yardley Way for throwing rocks at construction equipment resulting in the broken window of a tractor. Feb. 19
Drugs: At 1:45 a.m. someone stopped for vehicle code violations on Highway 4 bypass was arrested when found to be in possession of suspected marijuana. Grand theft: At 2:20 a.m. two individuals were arrested for stealing tools inside a vehicle yard on Elkins Way. One subject was found in possession of a switchblade knife and burglary tools. Drugs: At 1:30 p.m. someone contacted inside a vacant building on Balfour Road was arrested for suspected methamphetamine possession. Feb. 20
Malicious vandalism: At 8:45 a.m. officers responded to the report of a vandalized sign, picnic tables and sidewalk at a park on San Jose Avenue. Attempted robbery: At 10:54 a.m. three males attempted to rob a male of property by force on Hudson Way. The victim fought back and was able to get away with no loss or harm. Suspicious circumstances: At 2:56 p.m. a female reported she was approached by a male who attempted to grab her. Officers conducted a search of the area for the subject with negative results. Feb. 21
License violations: At 5:24 a.m. a male stopped for vehicle code violations on Lone Tree Way was arrested when found to be driving on a suspended license due to a prior DUI conviction. Feb. 22
Probation violation: At 12:01 a.m. someone was arrested on Oak Street for suspicion of being under the influence of alcohol and marijuana. Subject was found to be on felony probation. Burglary: At 7:36 a.m. a residence was reported burglarized on Spruce Street resulting in the theft of ski equipment. Entry was made through an open garage door. Weapons: At 9:58 a.m. a juvenile was arrested at a school on Second Street for bringing a knife on campus. Subject was not cooperative with officers refusing in identify himself. -- Nan Hargis
