PITTSBURG -- Drivers will have one less option for traveling from Pittsburg to Antioch for a couple days next week as the widening of Highway 4 continues.
Century Boulevard will be closed between Delta Fair and North Park boulevards from 5 p.m. Tuesday to 5 p.m. Thursday, as the contractor will be removing the temporary supports for the road's bridge undercrossing at Highway 4, according to a Caltrans news release.
Traffic will be detoured along Delta Fair and North Park to Somersville and Loveridge roads.
Tri Delta Transit's Route 388 bus line will also bypass Century Boulevard and detour using Delta Fair and Leland Road, according to agency officials. Courtesy stops will be made at bus stops on Delta Fair and Leland upon request during the detour.
Highway 4 is being widened from four to eight lanes from Loveridge Road to Highway 160, with BART being built in the median to run to a new station at Hillcrest Avenue.
