OAKLEY -- Do you know someone who's making a real difference in Oakley? Someone who's changing the city for the better through his or her business or volunteer work?

This is the time to nominate those individuals to receive kudos at Oakley Chamber of Commerce's annual recognition event.

The chamber is seeking the names of contenders in four categories: Citizen of the Year, Business Person of the Year, Adult Volunteer of the Year and Youth Volunteer of the Year.

Nominees don't have to be members of the chamber.

Teens must be 18 or younger to qualify for the award honoring their community service.

Nominations can be done online at www.oakleychamber.com.

The deadline for nominations is May 30.

The chamber's board of directors will choose the recipients and announce them at its June 28 banquet, which will be held at La Grande Wedding and Event Center.
