ANTIOCH -- This city is looking for business-savvy residents willing to serve on its economic development commission.
The board's role is to address economic development issues in Antioch and make recommendations to the City Council and staff regarding policies, regulations, marketing, development strategies and planning activities to enhance the city's economic base and create quality jobs.
Antioch has three vacancies on the seven-member commission. The positions are for four-year terms expiring in June 2017.
Those interested must be either be an Antioch resident or business owner/operator. Commission members must also file an annual "Statement of Economic Interest."
The commission meets 6 p.m. on the first Tuesday of the month on even-numbered months.
