ANTIOCH -- All lanes of Somersville Road/Auto Center Drive near the Highway 4 crossing will be closed overnight this weekend for freeway construction work.

The contractor for the project to widen Highway 4 from four- to eight-lanes through Antioch will be preparing for the full removal of temporary supports from the eBART and Somersville bridges, according to a Caltrans news release.

The road will be closed between the westbound and eastbound onramps from 10 p.m. to 6 a.m. overnight Saturday evening, and 10 p.m. to 5 a.m. overnight Sunday.

Motorists headed south will be detoured down Century Boulevard and left on Delta Fair Boulevard

to Somersville. Northbound drivers will be directed down Delta Fair and right on Century to Auto Center.
