In the weekly feature called "e-views," we invite readers to answer a question via email.
Last week's question:
What plans do you have for your children this summer? Will they participate in any activities or day- or weeklong camps or just hang out?
SINCE ALL OF our children are already adults, with their own children, I plan on just monitoring what they will do (without my/our interference).
I know that some of the grandkids will go to summer camp, some will just stick around locally and do usual kid stuff, and some will study to keep their good grades.
For ourselves, we will just do the usual taking -care-of-living business and some work. Summers are no longer the same for us as when we were kids, but hopefully we will do various things to enjoy the sun, entertainment and some travel. I also want to remind the readers to consider your adopted pets' health and well-being, with plenty of water, shade, and care. They are genuinely devoted to each of us and rely on us for their care throughout the years.

This week's question:
Last week some 25 high school graduates and guests were treated for heat-related emergencies during the graduation ceremonies at Freedom and Heritage high schools in far East County. What do you think could have been done for a better outcome? Should the time of the graduations be changed?
