Kim Kardashian has flushed out a traitor from her inner circle, using a fake baby as bait.

Agent K and her baby daddy, Kanye West, sent out what seemed like cute photos of their baby to friends. It was supposedly the first set of photos they sent out.

Only it was a ruse. A double-cross. A test. A plot. An expose.

According to TMZ, the photos of a baby -- who wasn't Kardashian's little girl North West-- were sent to at least six of Kardashian's closest friends. And, apparently, someone tried selling them to TMZ.

Well played, Ms. Kardashian. Well played.

Now we wait and see whom Kanye West is photographed chasing down the street with a fireplace poker later this week.

Meanwhile, Kardashian's mother/manager/brain Kris Jenner appeared on "Today" on Tuesday and teased host Matt Lauer about the pictures of her new granddaughter.

"I'd have to kill you if I showed you my cell phone," Jenner, 57, cackled maniacally ... I mean, er, said, with a laugh. "I'm erasing them all right after this."

(Lightning strikes and thunder booms)

"You'll have to tune in July 15," she said, referring to the premiere of her self-titled talk show on Fox.

This kid better look like the female Jesus or have two heads or something, for all the fuss they're making.

In a separate interview Jenner -- who apparently seems to like attention -- defended the child's name.

"I think it's great. Why not?" she said of North West during an interview with Fox 4 News in Dallas. "That's what's going on these days, lots of creative names."

That's one word for it.
