BRENTWOOD -- The city will host its first public safety forum from 10 a.m. to noon Aug. 17 at the Brentwood Community Center. Among the topics presented will be crime prevention, Neighborhood Watch, bullying, smoke detectors, CPR, internet safety and home exit drills.
Information will be provided by the Brentwood Police Department and East Contra Costa County Fire District. After the presentations, questions from the audience will be answered.
According to Brentwood police Lt. Ben Tolero, the event is free and all Brentwood residents are encouraged to attend. The community center is located at 35 Oak St.
