Ethan J. Longo
Ethan J. Longo participated in the Army Command "Best Warrior" competition.
The annual competition tests Warrior physical and mental abilities to determine the command's junior enlisted soldier and noncommissioned officer of the year. The event competitors go through tough tasks which include essay writing, Army physical fitness test, day and night urban war orienteering course, a 6.2-mile road march, day and night weapons qualification, Warrior tasks and battle drills, combative exercises, and mystery event
Longo has served in the military for four years, is the son of Mike and Sue Longo of Oakley, and a 2007 graduate of Freedom High School, Oakley.
Jonathan M. Cruz
Jonathan M. Cruz has graduated from basic combat training at Fort Jackson, Columbia, S.C.
During the nine weeks of training, Cruz studied the Army mission, history, tradition and core values, physical fitness, and received instruction in basic combat skills, military weapons, rifle marksmanship, basic first aid, foot marches, and field training exercises.
Cruz is the son of Carie and Joe Cruz of Brentwood, and a 2008 graduate of Heritage High School, Brentwood.
Robert S. Bailey

Robert S. Bailey has graduated from the Chaplain Assistant Advanced Individual Training course at the Chaplain School, Fort Jackson, Columbia, S.C.
The course emphasized religious support, development of interpersonal skills, and unit ministry support to soldiers and family members.
Bailey is the son of William and Lynette Bailey of Oakley, and a 2006 graduate of Independence High School, Brentwood.
