Sezar to hold hot rod shop open house

Hot rod shop owner Jerry Sezar will hold his annual open house this weekend featuring a car show and tours of this business.

The free event will be 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Satruday at 3060 Knightsen Ave., Knightsen.

Automotive enthusiasts including car and motorcycle clubs are invited to bring their wheels to show off; vehicles that Sezar and his clients have worked on also will be on display. Highlights of the show include a 1939 Ford hardtop race car that will be showcased later this year at Sacramento's California Automobile Museum as well as a 1949 Cadillac.

A live band will provide rock 'n' roll and country music and there will be a free barbecue of hot dogs and hamburgers.

Frazier to speak with constituents Sept. 17

BRENTWOOD -- Assemblyman Jim Frazier will be on hand at Brentwood City Hall, 150 City Park Way, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Sept. 17 to meet with his constituents to discuss state issues.
