The following calls were among those handled by the Brentwood police Aug. 8-12, according to information provided by the Police Department.
Aug. 8 Drugs: At 8:48 a.m. someone was contacted during a call for service on Amberleaf Way was arrested for suspicion of being under the influence of a controlled substance. Malicious vandalism: At 10:11 a.m. someone carved graffiti in a bathroom mirror and on the walls at a business on Sand Creek Road. Damage estimated at $325. Stolen vehicle: At 1:07 p.m. vehicle was reported stolen from Highland Way.
Aug. 9 Theft: At 8:14 p.m. a juvenile contacted by loss prevention employees at a business on Sand Creek Road was arrested when caught with suspected stolen items. Alcohol: At 10:03 p.m. a juvenile attempted to purchase alcohol with a fake ID at a business on Lone Tree Way. DUI: At 11:47 p.m. someone stopped for a vehicle code violation on Highland Way was arrested for suspicion of driving while intoxicated.
Aug. 10 Theft: At 7:19 a.m. a female on Griffith Lane reported someone smashed a vehicle window and stole a purse resulting in the loss of identification and credit cards. License violation: At 1:23 p.m. someone stopped for a vehicle code violation on Oak Street was cited for driving with a suspended license. Vehicle accident: At 11:40 p.m. a someone struck a wall on Minnesota Avenue and fled the scene before police arrived.
Aug. 11 Assault: At 2:12 p.m. a female on Lone Tree Way reported someone spit in her face and punched her in the mouth with a closed fist. Subject fled the scene before police arrived. Vehicle accident: At 3:29 p.m. someone ran a red light on Balfour Road broad siding another vehicle. A passenger was transported to a hospital for complaint of pain. Assault: At 9:36 p.m. two individuals started a physical altercation with numerous individuals on Windsor Way. The subjects struck two victims in the face with a hammer causing minor injuries.
Aug. 12 Warrant: At 4:22 a.m. three individuals contacted on Balfour Road were arrested for outstanding warrants. Fraud: At 10:45 a.m. a resident on Margaret Lane reported personal information was used to obtain merchandise in Pleasant Hill, Vallejo, Pittsburg, El Cerrito and Fairfield. Loss was estimated at $650. Dispute: At 6:48 p.m. officers responded to a domestic disturbance on Chaparral Drive.
