Holiday parade needs sponsors

Brentwood's long-standing Christmas holiday parade needs a $5,000 boost.

The Dec. 7 parade was in jeopardy as of Tuesday due to a reduction in grant money from the city, according to a letter from Ken Seamann, president of the Brentwood Chamber of Commerce.

"The grants have been sharply reduced this year, which will greatly impact what we can do without additional Community sponsorship," Seamann wrote in a letter seeking financial sponsorships. "If we could get $500 sponsorships from 10 business or individuals, we could still put this on. We need to have these funds in place by Sept. 19 before I can give the go ahead to proceed."
