The following calls were among those handled by the Brentwood police Aug. 30-Sept. 5, according to information provided by the Police Department.

Aug. 30

  • Drugs: At 12:47 a.m. someone stopped for a vehicle code violation on Brentwood Boulevard was arrested for suspicion of being under the influence of a central nervous system stimulant.

  • Drugs: At 11:29 a.m. someone was arrested for suspected marijuana possession at a school on American Avenue.

  • Theft: At 2:33 p.m. a bicycle was reported stolen from the Arco gas station on Lone Tree Way.

    August 31

  • Warrant: At 2:06 a.m. someone contacted at a location of Brentwood Boulevard was arrested when found to have a cite-release warrant issued by Butte County.

  • Theft: At 8:25 a.m. a female reported her motorcycle was stolen from a parking space at an apartment complex on Brentwood Boulevard.

  • Theft: At 10:48 a.m. a female reported her cell phone was stolen after she misplaced at a store on Sand Creek Road. The phone was tracked to Oakley but not recovered.

    Sept. 1

  • Fire: At 9:12 a.m. officers responded to a vehicle on fire at a location on Empire Avenue. The fire department extinguished the fire with no further incident.

  • Theft: At 5:16 p.m. someone stole a cell phone and iPod from a location on Brentwood Boulevard.

  • Warrant: At 8:52 p.m. someone stopped for a vehicle code violation was arrested when found to have two outstanding felony warrants. Subject was also driving with a suspended license due to a prior DUI conviction.

    Sept. 2

  • Theft: At 11:40 a.m. a customer at a grocery store on Second Street took two baskets of groceries without paying. A witness could not identify the subject in an infield show-up.

  • Accident: At 2:26 p.m. someone ran a red light on Minnesota Avenue striking a vehicle broadside causing the vehicle to run into the curb and strike two signal poles. One passenger was transported to hospital for injuries.

  • Suspicious circumstances: At 7:52 p.m. a resident on Allen Court reported he received a phone call from a male identifying himself as a law enforcement officer. Resident requested documentation of the event.

    Sept. 3

  • Burglary: At 5:05 a.m. it was reported someone stole a Sony navigation system, a stereo system and a Garmin GPS system from a locked vehicle on Crocket Avenue. Estimated loss was $979.

  • Alcohol: At 11:20 p.m. a juvenile contacted on Cheshire Drive was arrested when found to be in possession of alcohol and a false ID.

  • Malicious vandalism: At 5:05 p.m. officers responded to a school on First Street for the report of someone defacing the back side of a multipurpose room with spray paint. Subject (s) also cut a hole in the canvas covering the lunch tables.

    Sept. 4

  • Vandalism: At 5:22 a.m. someone caused minor damage to the front glass door at a business on Balfour Road. Damage was estimated at $250.

  • Theft: At 5:46 a.m. someone entered a business on Brentwood Boulevard by breaking the glass of a door. Numerous items were stolen.

  • Theft: At 3:57 p.m. two subjects entered a business on Lone Tree Way and fled with approximately $100 of merchandise. Subjects fled on foot.

    Sept. 5

  • Drugs: At 9:04 a.m. someone was arrested at school on American Avenue for suspected marijuana possession.

  • Accident: At 5:48 p.m. a vehicle ran a red light on Shady Willow Lane and broadsided another vehicle.

  • Burglary: At 6:40 p.m. a residence on Amber Lane was reported burglarized.
