Mormon church hosts Scout open house

The Antioch Stake of the LDS Church will host an open house and displays of 100 years of Boy Scouting at 6 p.m. Tuesday at 2350 Jeffery Way.

In commemoration of the church's 100-year affiliation with the Boy Scouts, it will broadcast the program "A Century of Honor" at 7:30 p.m. The program, which was staged in Salt Lake City, features Scout choirs, historical vignettes, videos and achievements from the past century. With a cast of hundreds of Scouts, the 85-minute performance will feature inspiring original music and media and more.

Liberty Playmakers host haunted house

Liberty High School's Playmakers drama club will host a Haunted House from 7 to 10 p.m. Friday and from 5 to 8 p.m. Saturday at Allan E. Jones Performing Arts Center, 805 Second St.

Prescription drug take-back in October

A prescription drug take-back event is being planned for Saturday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. by the city of Brentwood and the Drug Enforcement Administration.

Participants can bring expired, unused prescription drugs to the Brentwood Police Department, 9100 Brentwood Blvd., for safe disposal with no questions asked. The service is both free and anonymous.
