BRENTWOOD -- An actor from the TV show "Glee" will be visiting Liberty High School next month to raise money for its drama productions.
Derik Nelson, a singer, songwriter and the lead guitarist in the FOX television series about a high school glee club, will appear at the Brentwood campus during his "Take Chances" tour of about two dozen high schools on the West Coast.
Open to the public, the pop-rock concert will be 7 p.m. Nov. 7 at Liberty High's performing arts center, 850 Second St., Brentwood.
Box office receipts will go toward equipping the facility with theatrical LED lights; the district will match whatever profit the concert makes.
Tickets are $15 -- or $25 for those who want VIP seating in the first four rows and a meet-and-greet with Nelson after the show.
Tickets can be ordered online at http://libertyunion.schoolwires.net//Domain/713 or by calling 925-699-2451.
