  • Colors of Spring: 10 a.m.-12:30 p.m. March 15, Los Vaqueros Marina south entrance to the watershed accessible from Vasco Road at the Alameda-Contra Costa County line near Livermore. Take a stroll along the south shoreline of the reservoir and enjoy early spring wildflowers and scouring trees. Wear weather appropriate clothing, shoes. Bring water, snacks, binoculars, camera.   • Spring Into Oakley: 10 a.m.-4 p.m. March 22, Civic Center Park, Main Street and Norcross Lane, Oakley. Parade begins at 11 a.m. Kids decorate bikes, scooters and wagons for a bike parade beginning at 11 a.m. Kids zone with crafts, games, face painting, tattoos. Beer, wine and food will be available for uppercase. Free entry for bike parade; kids zone $5. No registration needed.

  • Crab Feed: The Network of Care, which feeds families of hospital patients, will hold its eighth annual crab feed March 15 at Antioch Fairgrounds' Sunset Building, 1201 W. 10th St. Doors open at 5:30 with dinner at 7 p.m. Cost is $55 a person. There will be raffle prizes and a silent auction also.

  • Antioch Bocce Federation has openings for four teams: Games are held at 6:30 p.m. either Tuesdays or Thursdays at Chichibu Park at Longview Road and Acorn Drive in Antioch. The new season starts April 29 and runs through August, with playoffs starting in early September. Teams consist of 6-10 players and of all ages. Team entry fee is $210.
