The following calls were among those handled by the Brentwood police March 8-13, according to information provided by the Police Department.
March 8 Vehicle theft: At 2:30 a.m. someone stole a vehicle from Central Boulevard. After failing yield to police the subject abandoned the vehicle after a pursuit. Officers recovered the vehicle that sustained minor damage. Warrant: At 9:29 a.m. Someone was arrested for an outstanding warrant on Rockwell Street. Disturbance: At 2:30 a.m. a female reported her neighbors were causing a disturbance. When officers arrived two subjects were arrested for suspicion of public intoxication.
March 9 Accident: At 1:52 a.m. after falling asleep at the wheel someone crashed into a tree on Apricot Way. The subject was arrested for suspicion of driving while intoxicated. Suspicious behavior: At 4:18 p.m. someone contacted on Lone Tree Way was arrested when found to have two outstanding warrants. Petty theft: At 6:43 p.m. an individual took two beers from a business on Lone Tree Way without paying for them.
March 10 Burglary: At 10:14 a.m. it was reported a residence on Crawford Drive was burglarized resulting in the loss of prescription medication. Drugs: At 5:57 p.m. someone contacted on First Street for a restraining order violation was arrested for suspected methamphetamine. Counterfeit bills: At 8:32 p.m. someone used counterfeit money to pay a bill at a business on Lone Tree Boulevard.
March 11 Warrant: At 12:09 a.m. someone stopped for a vehicle code violation on Walnut Boulevard was arrested when determined to have an outstanding outside warrant. Drugs: At 9:19 a.m. someone was arrested at a school on American Avenue for suspected marijuana possession. Drugs: At 2:55 p.m. someone contacted on Bonnie Lane was arrested for suspected methamphetamine possession and for being in possession of an assault rifle.
March 12 Malicious vandalism: At 8:21 a.m. it was reported someone used white spray paint to mark the retaining wall at the east end of Mallard Park. A park bench was also damaged. Petty theft: At 1:54 p.m. someone was placed under arrest by loss prevention employees for petty theft. at a business on Lone Tree Way. Vehicle theft: At 6:32 p.m. a vehicle was reported stolen from a location on Sand Creek Road.
March 13 Warrant: Someone stopped for a vehicle code violation on Highway 4 was arrested when determined to have an active felony warrant. Malicious vandalism: At 2:23 it was reported individuals broke the window of a church school bus on Ventura Way. Theft: At 3:44 p.m. three individuals entered a business on Lone Tree Way and stole three cases for beer.
