The following calls were among those handled by the Brentwood police March 24-28, according to information provided by the Police Department.

March 24

  • Dispute: At 12:43 a.m. officers responded to a location on Corte Vista Street for the report of a verbal dispute.

  • Grand theft: At 1:42 p.m. it was reported a house under construction was burglarized resulting in the loss of tools and fixtures with an estimated value of $1,100.

  • Weapons: At 11:18 p.m. officers responded to Griffin Avenue for the report of someone brandishing knife during a fight.

    March 25

  • Burglary: At 6:25 a.m. a residence on Spyglass Drive was burglarized. The garage door was forced open causing damage to the frame.

  • Weapons: At 1:40 p.m. someone contacted on Indiana Avenue fled from officers when it was determined they were wanted for a misdemeanor warrant. After a short foot pursuit, officers the subject was found in possession of an illegal knife.

    March 26

  • Burglary: At 8:29 a.m. a residence in on Effie Court was reported burglarized. Take was a toolbox, cordless drill, skateboard and several sports collectibles.

  • Grand theft: At 2:39 p.m. it was reported someone stole sunglasses worth $3,895 from a business on Sand Creek Road.

  • Warrant: At 8:58 p.m. someone contacted on First Street was arrested when determined to have an outstanding warrant.

    March 27

  • DUI: At 7:58 a.m. someone stopped on O'Hara Avenue for vehicle code violations was arrested for suspicion of driving while intoxicated.

  • Vehicle theft: At 7:58 a.m. a vehicle was reported stolen from a residence on Havenwood Avenue.

  • Burglary: At 11:56 p.m. it was reported a residence on Dainty Avenue was burglarized resulting it the loss of jewelry and 10 firearms.

    March 28

  • Drugs: At 1:44 p.m. someone stopped for a vehicle code violation was arrested when found to be in possession of suspected methamphetamine and marijuana. A passenger was also arrested.

  • Warrant: At 9:34 p.m. someone stopped for a vehicle code violation on Sand Creek Road was arrested when determined to have an outstanding warrant.

  • Drugs: At 10:22 p.m. someone contacted on Walnut Boulevard was arrested when found to be in possession of drug paraphernalia and suspected methamphetamine.
