BRENTWOOD -- The library here will host a money-finding workshop for local nonprofits in May.
Brentwood library is collaborating with the Delta Conservancy to teach Delta nonprofit organizations how to use Foundation Directory Online, a database of approximately 120,000 foundations and corporate donors as well as about 500,000 key decision-makers.
The training will be 8:30 to 10 a.m. May 13 at the library, 104 Oak St.
Instructor Susan Roberts, a grant writer for the conservancy, will show participants how to use the online tool to find potential sources of funds, including creating customized searches and using the Power Search, which enables the user to scour nine databases simultaneously.
The directory is available on seven of the library's public computers.
Registration is required and can be done online at http://ccclib.org/programs or by calling the library at 925-516-5290.
