SAN JOAQUIN COUNTY -- An Antioch resident is behind bars after officers caught him with roughly 20 pounds of marijuana during a traffic stop in Mountain House on Wednesday, according to the San Joaquin County Sheriff's Office.
Around 11:30 p.m., San Joaquin County sheriff's deputies stopped a black BMW along Byron Highway at Mountain House Parkway for an expired registration. The driver of the BMW, identified as 37-year-old Almighty Allah, was also driving with a suspended license and had a no-bail warrant for his arrest out of Contra Costa County, according to the sheriff's department.
When officers searched Allah's car, they found multiple large plastic bags in his trunk, containing a total of 20 pounds of processed marijuana.
Allah is being held without bail at the San Joaquin County Jail on suspicion of possession and transportation of marijuana. He was also cited for driving with a suspended license and expired registration.
