OAKLEY -- The city recently beefed up code enforcement with the addition of another officer.
Troy Edgell began work earlier this month as Oakley's code enforcement coordinator, overseeing the city's one full-time officer and two part-time technicians.
In addition to joining the other three in the field, Edgell will plan and direct the business of enforcing the city's codes -- rules governing abandoned vehicles, debris, unkempt yards full of overgrown weeds and other aspects of Oakley's appearance -- as well as oversee the department's budget.
"If you see (a problem), let me know," Edgell told the audience at this week's City Council meeting.
He can be reached at email@example.com or by calling 925-625-7019.
