The following calls were among those handled by the Brentwood police May 2-6, according to information provided by the Police Department.

May 2

  • Public intoxication: At 8:03 a.m. a male was arrested on Oak Street on suspicion of being too intoxicated to care for himself.

  • Theft: At 1:52 p.m. a female stole a dress from a business on Sand Creek Road. The dress was later recovered by mall security.

  • Burglary: At 9:13 p.m. it was reported that someone stole three handguns from a location on Finn Way. The victim was threatened with a knife before the suspect fled.

    May 3

  • DUI: At 12:43 a.m. someone stopped for a vehicle code violation on Blue Bird Lane was arrested on suspicion of driving while intoxicated.

  • Burglary: At 10:53 a.m. the window of a vehicle was shattered at a location on Balfour Road. A cell phone was taken valued at approximately $500.

  • Theft: At 12:22 p.m. someone stole sunglasses from a business on Sand Creek Road valued at approximately $590. The suspect fled in an unknown direction.

    May 4

  • Drugs: At 1:18 a.m. someone stopped for a vehicle code violation on Central Boulevard was arrested on suspicion of driving while intoxicated and for suspected methamphetamine possession.

  • Burglary: At 3:03 p.m. it was reported that a vehicle at a location on John Muir Parkway was burglarized, resulting in the loss of a backpack.

  • Assault: At 10:29 p.m. someone was punched in the face on Central Boulevard. The suspect fled the scene in a vehicle.

    May 5

  • Vehicle theft: At 5:36 a.m. a vehicle was reported stolen from a residence on Summerwood Drive.

  • Fraud: At 11:16 a.m. a resident on Douglas Drive reported his credit card information was used at three location in the Bay Area. Charges totaled $4,695.

  • Warrant: At 9:20 p.m. someone was arrested on Brentwood Boulevard for an outstanding burglary warrant out of Concord.

    May 6

  • DUI: At 12:45 a.m. a juvenile stopped for a vehicle code violation on Balfour Road was arrested when determined to be driving with a blood-alcohol level of .08 percent or more.

  • Theft: At 3:51 p.m. someone at a business on Lone Tree Way took several items from the store without paying for them. The suspect fled when contacted by loss prevention staff in front of the store. Merchandise was recovered valued at $624.

  • Fraud: At 6 p.m. someone entered a business on Balfour Road and attempted to fill a fictitious prescription. The suspect was arrested on suspicion of fraud and two outstanding warrants out of the city of Pleasanton.
