BRENTWOOD -- The long days of summer are here, and that means that the Brentwood Family Aquatic Complex is open seven days per week for public recreational swimming.

On weekdays, the pool is open from 1 to 6 p.m., and the fee is $6 per entry or $2 for each person at 4 p.m. and later. During weekends, the aquatic complex is open from noon until 6 p.m., and it costs $7 per user all day.

Swim lessons began this week with 10 swimming levels ranging from 6 months of age until adult. The lessons will run through Aug. 7.

Each swim lesson session meets eight times for 30 minutes each. Four sessions are being offered this summer.

The cost for parent and child classes is $52.70 for residents, and private lessons are $89.60. All of the remaining class levels are $61.60 for residents.
