BRENTWOOD -- Several areas of the city will be beautified this summer and fall as a result of a landscape improvement project that was recently approved by the City Council. The work will start in mid-July and be completed by the end of the year.

Green Valley Group, a landscape construction company, will landscape, install medians and widen Brentwood Boulevard from Lone Tree Way to Homecoming Way in North Brentwood. A non-potable water line will be installed east along Brentwood Boulevard from Sunset Road to Homecoming to prove non-potable irrigation for the median landscaping there and reduce the use of potable water.

Landscaping will be added to the median at Sand Creek Road from the Streets of Brentwood entrance to Highway 4. Other areas that will benefit from landscaping will be the new Brentwood Solid Waste Transfer Station, the new parking lot at Sunset Sports Complex and on both sides of Elkins Way.
