OAKLEY -- Local residents are invited to chat with their state assemblyman and take advantage of a couple of safety-related services this weekend.
Eleventh District Assemblyman Jim Frazier, D-Oakley, will be available to discuss what the Legislature is doing as well as answer constituents' questions and concerns from 8 to 10 a.m. Saturday at Black Bear Diner, 3201 Main St.
Coffee and refreshments will be provided.

In addition, parents can have their child's safety seat inspected and pick up one of the gun safety locks that will be given away along with brochures on firearm safety.
That event will be 1 to 3 p.m. Saturday in the covered parking lot at Freedom High School, 1050 Neroly Road.
Oakley police along with the California Highway Patrol, representatives from the Contra Costa County Liberty and La Clinica will be on hand for the event, which will include a children's story time.
