TUESDAY, Nov. 10

  • TRAFFIC STOP — At about 9 a.m. officers stopped a vehicle near Thousand Oaks Boulevard and Pomona Avenue for a traffic violation. They arrested the driver, a 52-year-old Berkeley woman, for suspicion of failing to stop at a stop sign and for failure to appear.

  • FORGERY — Officers responded to Target Stores on 1000 Eastshore at about 10:30 a.m. on reports that a person was attempting to use a bad travelers check. They arrested the 22-year-old Richmond man for suspicion of forgery and attempt to commit burglary.

  • FOOD FIGHT — At about 2:30 p.m. officers responded to The Sizzler on San Pablo Avenue on reports of a food fight in progress. Officers separated the parties and the matter was peacefully resolved.

    THURSDAY, Nov. 12

  • DUI — Shortly after midnight, officers arrested a 43-year-old Lakehead man on the 700 block of San Pablo Avenue for suspicion of DUI.

  • TRANSIENT — At about 3:30 a.m. officers asked a homeless person, who was camped out on a front porch of an apartment complex on Solano Avenue and disturbing the residents, to move along. About a half hour later the person was back and again told to go somewhere else.

  • BURGLARY — During the night someone broke a window at One Hour Albany Cleaners on Solano Avenue and stole items from inside.

    There were no witnesses.

  • VANDALISM — Someone put graffiti on Hillview Pet Hospital during the night. There were no witnesses.

  • THEFT — Someone stole the rear license plate off a vehicle parked on the hillside of the complex on Pierce Street.

  • FIRE — At about 7:30 p.m. Albany firefighters responded to Lumber Baron on Cleveland Avenue to assist Richmond, Kensington, El Cerrito and Berkeley firefighters in extinguishing a two-alarm fire. Albany police officers assisted with traffic control and the fire was extinguished. There is an investigation on the cause of the fire.

    FRIDAY, Nov. 13

  • TRIPLE ARREST — At about 2:30 a.m. officers arrested a 30-year-old Berkeley man near Buchanan and Madison streets for suspicion of failure to yield to an officer and driving with a suspended driver's license. They also arrested two other members of the group, a 27-year-old Richmond woman and a 30-year-old Berkeley man, for suspicion of disorderly conduct.

  • ALCOHOL USE — Officers stopped a vehicle on the 900 block of Santa Fe Avenue for a traffic violation at about 2:30 p.m. They arrested the driver, a 21- year-old Berkeley man, for suspicion of driving with an open container of drugs in the car.

  • WARRANT — At about 4 p.m. officers contacted a woman walking on the 900 block of Talbot Avenue who appeared to be taking packages off porches. They arrested the 39-year-old Vallejo woman for an outstanding warrant.

    SATURDAY, Nov. 14

  • CAR STOLEN — During the night, someone stole a car parked in a secured garage on Cornell Avenue. There were no witnesses.

  • CAR RECOVERED — At about 11 a.m. officers arrested a 30-year-old San Pablo man on the 700 block of Pierce Street when the car he was driving was found to have been stolen. He was charged with being in possession of a stolen car and for a parole violation. The owner of the car was notified.

  • THEFT — During the night someone stole various parts off a car parked on Jackson Street.

    SUNDAY, Nov. 15

  • DUI — At about 12:30 a.m. officers stopped a car at the Buchanan Street interchange for a traffic violation. They arrested the driver, a 21-year-old Oakland woman, for suspicion of DUI.

  • DUI — About 10 minutes later, officers stopped a car on I-80 near Central Avenue for a traffic violation. They arrested the driver, a 65-year-old Berkeley man, for suspicion of DUI.

  • DRUG POSSESSION — Officers stopped a car on the 1000 block of San Pablo Avenue at about 3 a.m. for a traffic violation and arrested the driver, a 45-year-old Richmond man, for suspicion of possession of drugs and possession of drugs for sale.

  • AUTO BREAK-INS — During the night someone prowled through a Honda CRV that was parked on San Carlos Street and stole items from inside. The owner was not sure if the car was locked or not. Two other cars on San Carlos Street were also broken into and items stolen.

  • AUTO BREAK-IN — Someone broke into a car on Santa Fe Avenue during the night and stole items from inside.

  • DOUBLE ARREST — At about 10 p.m., officers contacted two people on Taft Street who appeared to be acting suspiciously. They arrested one, a 45-year-old Richmond man, for suspicion of possession of drugs and having drugs for sale. They also arrested the second person, a 32-year-old El Sobrante woman, for an outstanding warrant.

    MONDAY, Nov. 16

  • AUTO BREAK-IN — Around 5:30 a.m. someone broke the window of a truck parked on San Pablo Avenue near Solano Avenue.

  • AUTO BREAK-IN — During the night someone broke into a car parked on Cerrito Street and stole items from inside.
