MONDAY, Sept. 24
AUTO BREAK-INS -- Officers received reports that four cars on Pierce Street and one car on Adams Street were broken into and items stolen from inside overnight. TUESDAY, Sept. 25
THEFT -- At 5 p.m. officers received a call from Safeway on Solano Avenue about two women observed taking items from the store without paying for them. They were gone when officers arrived.WEDNESDAY, Sept. 26
ARREST -- Officers arrested an Albany man on Peralta Avenue at about 7 a.m. for suspicion of committing lewd acts with a minor. He was found dead on the morning of Oct. 1 in what is being investigated as a possible suicide. AUTO BREAK-IN -- A Kains Avenue resident called at 9 a.m. to report her car had been broken into and her purse stolen overnight. She reported that she heard her car alarm go off around 4 a.m. but didn't investigate. ALTERCATION -- At 2:30 p.m. a resident on Marin Avenue reported that a man dropped his child off at a day care center next door. On the way back to his car he picked a tomato from a neighbor's yard. Words were exchanged and the man departed. THEFT -- Two compressors were stolen overnight from Overhead Doors on Cleveland Avenue.THURSDAY, Sept. 27

THEFT -- The interior of an unlocked car on Neilson Street was prowled overnight and items were taken. DUI -- At about 1 a.m. officers stopped a vehicle in the 400 block of San Pablo Avenue for a vehicle code violation and arrested the driver, an El Cerrito woman, for suspicion of DUI. DUI -- Officers arrested a Crockett man at 2:30 a.m. near Madison and Castro streets for suspicion of two counts of DUI. DUI -- At 4 a.m. officers arrested a Berkeley man in the 600 block of San Pablo Avenue for suspicion of DUI. THEFT -- Property was stolen overnight from a car on Tevlin Street. FRIDAY, Sept. 28
DUI -- At about 1:30 a.m. officers stopped a vehicle on Interstate 80 near Buchanan Street for a vehicle code violation. They arrested the driver, a San Pablo woman, for suspicion of two counts of DUI. HOME BREAK-IN -- A home on Posen Street was reported burglarized during the day. The resident found a window open and items missing. SATURDAY, Sept. 29
INVESTIGATION -- Shortly after midnight officers received a call about a group of four people in a white Toyota Corolla who threw rocks at the caller. They were last seen driving south on Kains Avenue toward Berkeley. The caller was able to give officers a partial license plate information. About 20 minutes later Berkeley police reported locating an abandoned car near Sacramento and 66th streets that matched the description of the offending vehicle. DUI -- Officers stopped a vehicle in the 900 block of Kains Avenue at about 1:30 a.m. for a vehicle code violation and arrested the driver, an Albany man, for suspicion of DUI and for driving without a license. DUI -- At 2 a.m. officers arrested a Berkeley woman in the 900 block of San Pablo Avenue for suspicion of two counts of DUI. AUTO STOLEN -- Officers responded to reports of a car parked at the Albany bulb being stolen at about noon. ARMED ROBBERY -- At about 2:30 p.m. the Albany Hill Mini Mart was robbed at gunpoint by three men wearing black hoodies and green latex gloves. They took a computer, cash and cigarettes and were last seen running north on Adams Street. DISORDERLY CONDUCT -- Officers arrested an Albany man near Solano and San Pablo avenues at 10 p.m. for disorderly conduct.SUNDAY, Sept. 30
DUI -- At 3:30 a.m. officers stopped a Burlingame man near Jackson and Castro Streets for a vehicle code violation and arrested him for suspicion of two counts of DUI. CAR STOLEN -- A car was stolen overnight on Madison Street. -- Kristina Osborn
