FRIDAY, SEPT. 28

  • STOLEN AUTO -- Someone stole a '97 Honda SRV from the 6700 block of Snowden Avenue.

  • DUI -- Police arrested an Albany motorist on suspicion of driving under the influence of drugs or alcohol near Lassen Street and Santa Clara Avenue.

    SATURDAY, SEPT. 29

  • DUI -- Police arrested two motorists on suspicion of driving under the influence of drugs or alcohol, including a Richmond resident who was involved in a solo vehicle collision at School and South 55th streets and a Vallejo resident near Bay View and San Pablo avenues.

    SUNDAY, SEPT. 30

  • STOLEN AUTO -- Someone stole a '98 Honda Accord parked in the 1400 block of Liberty Street after entering the victim's other vehicle, ransacking it and discovering the ignition key to the Honda.

  • WARRANT -- Police arrested a Richmond motorist for an outstanding warrant during a traffic enforcement stop in the 11500 block of San Pablo Avenue.

    MONDAY, OCT. 1

  • THEFT FROM RESIDENCE -- Someone forced open the side door of a home in the 800 block of Colusa Avenue and ransacked the residence. It is undetermined what was stolen from the property.

  • STOLEN AUTO -- Three juveniles were arrested for possession of a stolen vehicle and several GPS devices that had been taken from unlocked vehicles near Blake Street and Walnut Avenue. And, a '91 Acura Legend was stolen near 5000 El Cerrito Plaza.

  • THEFT FROM AUTO -- Someone broke into a car in the 500 block of Albemarle Street, ransacked the interior and stole some change.

    TUESDAY, OCT. 2

  • THEFT FROM RESIDENCE -- Someone pried open the side door of a home on Ashbury Avenue and stole jewelry and electronics. And, someone pulled on a garage door, damaging the door and automatic mechanism at a home in the 100 block of Carmel Avenue. No entry was made.

  • DRUGS -- A woman was arrested for reported drug use after she falsely claimed to have been raped. The suspect told police that she had smoked heroin the night prior.

  • POSSESSION -- Two El Cerrito High School students were apprehended during school hours near Eureka Avenue and Everett Street. One of them was in possession of marijuana while the other had an outstanding warrant. And, an unlicensed Richmond male motorist and his Sacramento female passenger were cited for possession of smoking pipes after a routine traffic stop near South 55th Street and Gately Avenue.

    WEDNESDAY, OCT. 3

  • POSSESSION -- Police arrested a female motorist from Richmond for possession of methamphetamine after a traffic enforcement stop near Moeser Lane and San Pablo Avenue.

  • SHOPLIFTING -- A man with prior convictions for theft and robbery was arrested for reportedly stealing items from Lucky's in El Cerrito Plaza.

    THURSDAY, OCT. 4

  • COMMERCIAL CRIME -- A loss prevention officer at Safeway in the 11400 block of San Pablo Avenue detained a man who was seen stealing items from the store. The suspect's friends had physically accosted the employee in an attempt to try and free the suspect.
