FRIDAY, JAN. 18

  • RECOVERED AUTO -- At Potrero Avenue and South 56th Street, police spotted a U-Haul truck that had been reported stolen. Officers pulled over the driver, a 41-year-old San Pablo man, at Bayview Avenue and Interstate 580, booked him and took him to the Martinez Detention Facility. Elsewhere, a 1991 Honda Accord reported stolen in Oakland was recovered near Cypress Avenue and South 55th Street.

  • BURGLARY -- A woman's purse was stolen from a treatment room at an acupuncture clinic in the 11700 block of San Pablo Avenue. At a home in the 1400 block of 56th Street, someone tried unsuccessfully to pry open the front door.

  • UNDER THE INFLUENCE -- Police arrested two Richmond cyclists for reportedly riding their bicycles while under the influence of alcohol, including a man, 36, at Carlson Boulevard and Sutter Avenue and a man, 33, at Cutting Boulevard and San Pablo Avenue.

    SATURDAY, JAN. 19

  • DRUGS -- Police arrested an Oakland male pedestrian, 34, for reported possession of methamphetamine at Eastshore Boulevard and Potrero Avenue.

  • DUI -- A Campbell female motorist, 43, was arrested for reportedly driving under the influence of drugs or alcohol near Macdonald and San Pablo avenues.

  • POSSESSION -- The driver of a silver BMW sped off during a traffic stop at Cutting Boulevard and Tamalpais Avenue. Officers found the unoccupied car parked in the middle of the street near Fairview and Tamalpais avenues and then located one of the vehicle's occupants hiding in the rear of a home in the 7000 block of Tamalpais Court. She was found in possession of a controlled substance.

  • STOLEN AUTO -- Police recovered a 2000 Honda Civic near Gladys Avenue and Norvell Street that had been reported stolen earlier in the day in the 7100 block of Potrero Avenue.

  • THEFT FROM AUTO -- The window of a vehicle parked in the 9900 block of San Pablo Avenue was smashed and a backpack containing a laptop and iPad was stolen.

  • THEFT FROM RESIDENCE -- A bathroom window was used to enter and ransack a home in the 5300 block of Poinsett Avenue, but nothing was reported stolen.

    SUNDAY, JAN. 20

  • RESISTING ARREST -- Police arrested a Richmond male cyclist, 26, after he reportedly tried to escape during a routine stop at Madison and San Pablo avenues.

  • STOLEN AUTO -- Three people were arrested, including a Vallejo man, 21, a Richmond woman, 23, and a San Rafael woman, 30, for possession of a stolen 1993 Oldsmobile Cutlass during a traffic stop in the parking lot of the Terrace Motel at Madison and San Pablo avenues. Meanwhile, the driver of a stolen U-Haul van evaded arrest after police located the vehicle in front of a home in the 5700 block of Carlos Avenue. The motorist took off westbound on I-80 when police tried to contact the vehicle's owner and also evaded the California Highway Patrol after it took over the pursuit.

  • THEFT FROM RESIDENCE -- Jewelry was stolen from an unlocked home in the 2300 block of Edith Street.

    MONDAY, JAN. 21

  • ILLEGAL TOOLS -- Police arrested a Pinole woman, 22, for reported possession of three shaved keys commonly used for stealing vehicles at the Albany off-ramp at westbound I-80.

  • THEFT -- A Richmond woman, 43, was cited for reportedly stealing eight mini liquor bottles of wine from the Lucky supermarket at 1000 El Cerrito Plaza. Police caught up with the suspect after joining store employees in a foot chase in the parking lot.

  • THEFT FROM AUTO -- A San Pablo man, 29, was arrested in the 1600 block of Liberty Street for reported possession of stolen property that had been taken from an unlocked vehicle parked in an area residential neighborhood.

  • WEAPON -- Police arrested a man, 22, for reported possession of a butterfly knife near Central Avenue and westbound I-80.

    TUESDAY, JAN. 22

  • POSSESSION -- A Richmond man, 40, who was a passenger in a vehicle that police had pulled over for a violation at Elm and Hill streets, was arrested for suspected possession of powder cocaine.

  • STOLEN AUTO -- A 1990 gold four-door Acura Legend was stolen in the 1800 block of Liberty Street.

    WEDNESDAY, JAN. 23

  • SHOOTING -- Two teenage victims of a shooting incident that occurred at 1:59 p.m. at Ohlone Greenway bike path between Eureka and Stockton avenues were taken to area hospitals. An investigation is ongoing.

    THURSDAY, JAN. 24

  • ATTEMPTED BURGLARY -- Someone pried open an exterior side door to a garage at a home in the 1300 block of Gayle Court, but was not able to enter the home and no loss was reported.

  • COMMERCIAL CRIME -- Someone entered a business in the 6500 block of Fairmount Avenue and stole an undisclosed amount of property.

  • THEFT FROM AUTO -- Someone broke a rear window of a car in the 400 block of Kearney Street and stole undisclosed items.
