FRIDAY, FEB. 1

  • DUI -- Three motorists were pulled over and arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol, including: a Richmond man, 31, at Cutting Boulevard and San Pablo Avenue; a San Leandro man, 48, at Fairmount and San Pablo avenues; and a Richmond man, 25, at Interstate 80 and Macdonald Avenue.

  • THEFT FROM AUTO -- Two vehicles were burgled at El Cerrito Plaza. A purse was stolen from an unlocked car and a backpack was stolen from another car after the front passenger window was broken.

  • THEFT FROM RESIDENCE -- The front door of a home in the 3400 block of Belmont Avenue was forced open and assorted electronics were stolen.

  • WEAPON -- At 8:15 a.m., police discovered a disassembled AR-15 replica airsoft rifle in a backpack after responding to a call that a male juvenile was possibly in possession of a concealed weapon at El Cerrito High School. The student was detained, taken to the police department and released to the custody of his parents.

    SATURDAY, FEB. 2

  • ARMED ROBBERY -- Someone held up a victim near San Pablo Avenue and Schmidt Lane, demanding personal belongings and fleeing on foot.

  • BANK ROBBERY -- Police arrested a San Francisco man, 53, on suspicion of robbing Chase Bank at 9950 San Pablo Avenue. The suspect reportedly had handed the teller a note, after which he was handed $4,000 in cash, which was in his possession at the time of his arrest. An investigation is ongoing as the suspect may be connected to other bank robberies in the Bay Area.

  • DUI -- Police arrested an El Sobrante woman, 58, on suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol in the 500 block of Clayton Avenue. Officers had responded to a call about a vehicle collision and discovered her black Ford Explorer had struck two parked vehicles. Elsewhere, a Fremont male motorist, 22, was arrested for the same infraction after a traffic enforcement stop at Eastshore Boulevard and San Pablo Avenue.

  • HIT AND RUN -- A San Pablo man, 21, was booked on felony hit and run after reportedly striking a pedestrian as he was exiting the Sketcher's parking lot on to the 5800 block of Cutting Boulevard and then driving away. San Pablo police detained him and a witness positively identified the suspect. The victim sustained a sprained knee and was taken to a hospital.

  • POSSESSION -- A Richmond cyclist, 41, was arrested for an outstanding felony warrant and a later search turned up possession of suspected methamphetamine and burglary tools after police stopped him along Eastshore Boulevard.

  • THEFT FROM AUTO -- Someone shattered the front passenger window of a Nissan Versa in the 2200 block of Carquinez Avenue and stole various electronics. Three vehicles were burgled in the lot by CVS Pharmacy at El Cerrito Plaza, where someone stole an estimated $910 worth of items from a 1995 Chevy Blazer after breaking the driver's side window; roughly $525 worth of items were taken from a 2010 Toyota after the driver's side window was shattered; and about $200 worth of possessions were taken from a 2005 Ford Focus after the passenger window was broken.

  • THEFT FROM RESIDENCE -- Someone kicked in the plywood rear door to a vacant house under renovation and stole an estimated $6,000 to $7,000 worth of tools.

    SUNDAY, FEB. 3

  • DRUGS -- Two Oakland residents were arrested for drug-related violations following a traffic enforcement stop at Carlson Boulevard and Fairmount Avenue. The male driver, 29, who had an outstanding warrant, was reportedly in possession of methadone pills, and his female passenger, 39, was suspected to be under the influence of a controlled substance, and initially provided a false name to police.

  • DUI -- Police arrested an El Cerrito man, 28, on suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol at Blake and Elm streets.

  • GRAND THEFT -- A report was filed that a man and two women reportedly stole about $2,800 worth of printer ink on Jan. 31 from a display shelf at Staples, 11545 San Pablo Ave.

  • THEFT FROM AUTO -- Items were stolen from two vehicles parked near Bridges Rock Gym in the 5600 block of San Diego Street. A window was broken with a brick to gain entry into a 2012 Chevrolet Equinox and stole a leather briefcase, valued at $400. A rear window of a 2005 Honda Element was broken to steal a duffle bag, located later in a nearby parking lot.

  • THEFT FROM RESIDENCE -- Someone smashed the kitchen window of a home in the 2600 block of Yuba Street, ransacked the place and stole miscellaneous property.

    MONDAY, FEB. 4

  • CANNABIS -- At 9:17 a.m., police arrested a Richmond male juvenile for possession of marijuana at Portola Middle School, 1021 Navallier St.

  • HIT & RUN -- Someone reported that a passing vehicle had struck his parked vehicle in the 5300 block of Poinsett Avenue. An El Cerrito resident, who is the owner of the suspected vehicle, refused to cooperate.

  • TOOLS -- Police arrested a man, 41, for reported possession of burglary tools at Carlson Boulevard and San Pablo Avenue.

    TUESDAY, FEB. 5

  • ARMED ROBBERY -- A man brandished a gun at a male pedestrian and demanded his backpack while his male accomplice held the victim's arms and a third suspect served as a lookout in the 6500 block of Stockton Avenue.

  • POSSESSION -- Police arrested a male transient, 47, after he was reportedly seen leaving Safeway at 11450 San Pablo Avenue with stolen merchandise. A subsequent search found that he also was in possession of codeine pills.

  • THEFT FROM AUTO -- A window was broken and two backpacks containing electronics stolen from a vehicle at El Cerrito Plaza.

  • THEFT FROM RESIDENCE -- Someone forced open a bedroom window and stole assorted electronics from a home in the 8300 block of Kent Court.

  • DUI -- Police arrested an Albany man, 31, on suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol after responding to a call concerning a collision between a car and a building in the 10000 block of San Pablo Avenue.
