TUESDAY, APRIL 30

  • DUI -- A male Richmond motorist, 32, was arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol at Elm Street and Moeser Lane.

    WEDNESDAY, MAY 1

  • BURGLARY -- Police arrested an Albany man, 55, with several prior theft convictions, for stealing items at CVS Pharmacy at 670 El Cerrito Plaza.

  • DRUGS -- A Bay Point man, 20, was arrested for an outstanding warrant and suspected possession of a controlled substance at 1:53 p.m. in the 8600 block of Thors Bay Road.

    THURSDAY, MAY 2

  • BATTERY -- At 4:22 p.m., an Oakland man, 24, was arrested for battery after he reportedly physically assaulted someone at Safeway in the 11400 block of San Pablo Avenue.

  • BURGLARY -- It was reported that someone had forced open the front door of a home in the 5200 block of Cypress Avenue within the past couple of days. Nothing was reported missing.

    FRIDAY, MAY 3

  • DUI -- At 1:23 a.m., a Hercules male motorist, 27, was arrested for driving under the influence of drugs or alcohol at Central and San Pablo avenues.

  • SHOPLIFTING -- A Cottonwood woman, 19, was cited for suspected shoplifting after she was spotted stealing items at Safeway in the 11400 block of San Pablo Avenue.

  • THEFT FROM RESIDENCE -- At around 5:10 p.m., police responded to a call that three teens had forced open the front door, ransacked the interior and stolen undisclosed numerous items from a home in the 300 block of Ramona Avenue, before getting away in a silver sedan.

  • TOOLS -- A Richmond woman, 21, on probation, was arrested at the Super 8 Motel in the 6000 block of Potrero Avenue for possession of suspected burglary tools.

    SATURDAY, MAY 4

  • ATTEMPTED THEFT -- Police arrested a Richmond man, 37, after he was seen trying to steal someone's car in the 7200 block of Waldo Avenue. The victim had looked out his window after he heard his car engine start up and saw the suspect sitting in his vehicle. The suspect fled on foot, but police caught up with him nearby.

  • DRUGS -- Police arrested a Concord man, 21, after he was seen loitering around vehicles in the Safeway parking lot in the 11400 block of San Pablo Avenue. It was suspected that he was under the influence of a stimulant and was in possession of suspected methamphetamine.

  • DUI -- Police arrested a Richmond female motorist, 37, for driving under the influence of drugs or alcohol at 12:07 a.m. at Potrero and San Pablo avenues.

    SUNDAY, MAY 5

  • DUI -- An El Cerrito female motorist, 27, was arrested for driving under the influence of drugs or alcohol at 2:11 a.m. at Carlson Boulevard and Sacramento Avenue.

    MONDAY, MAY 6

    No significant incidents to report.

    TUESDAY, MAY 7

  • THEFT FROM RESIDENCE -- Two homes were burglarized and ransacked after the culprits pried open the front doors, including a home in the 2300 block of Carquinez Avenue, where jewelry and money were stolen and a home in the 2000 block of Key Boulevard, where the burglar stole electronics and jewelry. And, it was reported that the day prior someone had pried open the front door of a vacant residence in the 6400 block of Stockton Avenue. Nothing was reported missing.

  • VANDALISM -- A Richmond man, 33, was arrested for felony vandalism after he reportedly hurled a piece of concrete through a front window at Safeway in the 11400 block of San Pablo Avenue.

    WEDNESDAY, MAY 8

  • ROBBERY -- At 9:50 p.m., A Richmond man, 19, and a San Pablo man, 18, held up a male pedestrian in the 1700 block of Liberty Street with a sawed-off shotgun, demanding his personal belongings. They fled with the victim's cell phone and keys. The pair was later arrested after Berkeley Police had responded to an attempted robbery and arrested two suspects. The young men who were involved in the El Cerrito incident had the stolen items in their vehicle.

  • THEFT FROM RESIDENCE -- Someone entered a home in the 7400 block of Terrace Drive through a pet door and stole the victim's laptop.

    THURSDAY, MAY 9

  • ROBBERY -- At 2:30 p.m., a male transient leapt out of some bushes, brandishing a knife, and accosted a male cyclist on the BART path at Blake Street, demanding his personal property. The suspect rode off with the victim's bicycle.

  • THEFT -- A Richmond man, 38, with 15 prior theft convictions, was arrested at 11:38 a.m. for reportedly stealing items from CVS Pharmacy at 670 El Cerrito Plaza.

  • THEFT FROM RESIDENCE -- Someone burglarized a home in the 600 block of Clayton Avenue. The stolen items had yet to be identified.
